Itilliarsuq is a supracrustal sequence on the south coast of the Nuussuaq Peninsular. The area is dominated by rusty-weathering iron-formations and mica schists which contain a number of gold mineralisations in veins and shear zones.
Previous exploration by NunaMinerals has returned values of up to 9ppm Au over 1.7 meters in a structure that can be traced 500 m along strike. In addition grab samples of quartz veins have yielded up to 40 ppm Au.
