Avannaa Resources Limited is a junior mining exploration company. Avannaa’s primary geographical focus is Greenland. Commodity targets include precious metals, base metals, and diamonds. Avannaa’s vision is to become a leading junior mineral exploration company and its business will be driven by sound scientific practice combined with commercial integrity. Avannaa has two projects, Qeqertaa Diamonds and Saqqaq Gold, where the next phase in exploration will be resource delineation via a combination of drilling and bulk sampling.
Avannaa’s objective is to provide its shareholders with the considerable upside rewards inherent in mineral exploration in under-explored areas, while at the same time following strategies that protect the investment and provide a basis for a liquidity event in the form of IPO, joint venture or trade sale in the timeframe 2010-2012.
There are four components to Avannaa’s strategy:
- exploit the management team’s expertise in grass-roots exploration to find projects with high upside potential.
- exploit our geological insights in Greenland to create an opportunity pipeline and a diversified portfolio to manage and mitigate risk.
- optimise timing of a liquidity event to coincide growth of value in the portfolio with strength of the Company’s reputation in the mining and investor community.
- bring in development partners for production.
