Stefan Bernstein: Exploration Director

Stefan received his M.Sc. in 1989 and Ph.D. in 1994, both in geology from Copenhagen University. Subsequently he worked as a Research Fellow at the Danish Lithosphere Centre, including two years as leader of the Arctic Research station on Disko Island, West Greenland. He held a position as Senior Scientist at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS) from 2002-2007. He has participated in many expeditions to Greenland with many publications in the fields of igneous petrology and mantle geochemistry. He has worked extensively with Greenland’s mineral deposits, both as a geologist and project manager for commercial companies (Platinova, Quadrant Resources) and in his capacity as a Survey geologist. Stefan is a founder of Avannaa Resources and is responsible for the technical development of all the companies projects.
